Alignment Guide

Why Alignment Matters

What is a wheel alignment?

A wheel alignment adjusts the angles of your tires — camber, caster, and toe — so they meet the road at the correct position. When these angles are off, your tires wear unevenly, your truck may pull to one side, and your fuel economy and handling suffer. A proper alignment brings everything back to specification so your truck drives straight and your tires last.

Can you align a lifted truck?

Yes. Lifted and leveled trucks are actually the vehicles that need alignments most. When you change ride height, the suspension geometry changes — camber and toe shift, sometimes dramatically. Our Hunter Hawkeye Elite handles everything from stock-height daily drivers to fully built off-road rigs on 37s and 40s. If your build includes aftermarket upper control arms, we dial in the alignment to match the new geometry.

How often should I get an alignment?

After any suspension work — lift kit, leveling kit, new control arms, or new shocks and struts. Also after hitting a pothole or curb hard, if you notice pulling or uneven wear, or roughly every 12 months as part of routine maintenance. New tires are also a good time, since misalignment will ruin them quickly.

What is the Hunter Hawkeye Elite?

It's a top-tier alignment system that uses high-definition cameras to measure all four wheel angles simultaneously — no clamps or physical contact with the wheels. It's faster and more precise than older machines, and it handles oversized off-road tires and lifted trucks that other shops' equipment can't. That's why we can align builds that other shops have to turn away.
