1993 Ford Bronco OBS Restomod
This clean 1993 Eddie Bauer Bronco came in riding on a cheap 6-inch lift that handled terribly. We ripped it out and installed the Desolate Motorsports Mid-Travel 4-inch "All-In" kit — 12 inches of front and 17 inches of rear wheel travel, dual Fox 2.0 shocks, and Deaver V562 leaf springs — for a ride that finally matches the classic two-tone looks. We followed it up with a complete Desolate/PSC steering overhaul to tighten up the handling.

Built To Work & Play
This 1993 Eddie Bauer Bronco keeps its timeless two-tone blue-and-tan look and all the chrome trim — but underneath, it's been completely rebuilt for off-road performance. The customer wanted something that rode better, handled better, and could have some fun off-road, so we ripped out the old cheap 6-inch lift and installed the Desolate Motorsports Mid-Travel 4-inch "All-In" combo — camber-corrected TTB housings, billet radius arms, dual Fox 2.0 shocks, and Deaver V562 leaf springs — for 12 inches of front and 17 inches of rear travel and the clearance to run 35s without losing the classic stance. A full Desolate/PSC steering overhaul rounds it out.

The Details
The Suspension
We ripped out the old kit and installed the Desolate Motorsports Mid-Travel 4-inch "All-In" combo. Up front, camber-corrected TTB housings reinforced with 3/16-inch steel plating and an integrated bash guard pivot on FK 1-inch stainless uniballs, located by billet aluminum radius arms on 1.25-inch heim joints with a billet cross bar. Dual Fox 2.0 shocks (the main with an external reservoir) ride on 4-inch lift coils, with limit straps, a drop pitman arm, and extended stainless brake lines. The result is 12 inches of front wheel travel and a controlled ride — not just a tall lift.
The Rear
Out back, a pair of Deaver V562 leaf springs hang on an extended shackle and fabricated shackle hangers with a new front spring mount, paired with Fox 2.0 x12-inch reservoir shocks in billet upper and lower mounts for 17 inches of rear wheel travel. A long-travel sway bar with billet arms manages body roll, and oversized 5/8-inch U-bolts and re-indexed axle perches set the pinion angle for the new ride height.
The Steering
With the old lift gone, the factory steering was tired and sloppy. We installed the Desolate Motorsports 89-96 Complete Steering PSC Combo to fix it for good. A PSC Steering power steering pump on a CAD-designed, laser-cut bracket (with a billet aluminum pulley) feeds a rebuilt factory steering box, a heavy-duty tie rod kit adds real strength over stock, and a Borgeson steering shaft replaces the aging rag joint with steel u-joints on needle bearings. The result is tight, predictable steering that finally matches the new suspension.
The Stance
To fill the new clearance we went with polished aluminum wheels and oversized Cooper Discoverer S/T Maxx tires — the kit clears a 35-inch tire with room to spare. Chrome front and rear bumpers, a color-matched visor with cab lights, and chrome side steps finish the classic look — so this Bronco reads as a clean original at a glance, until you look underneath.
This was a suspension and steering refresh only — no body, paint, or restoration work, just the chassis sorted right. Want the same for your classic truck? Get in touch and we'll build a plan around your vehicle and how you want to use it.
