The Build

Built To Work & Play

Gary is a long-time customer and a great friend who has always loved his Jeeps — this is the third one we've outfitted for him. He wanted to go all out but keep it a "sleeper." Shortly after he picked up this 2022 Wrangler Unlimited with the 3.0 diesel, we started planning the build. It got one of the baddest kits on the market — an Evo Manufacturing JLU Diesel King 2.5 Double Throwdown front and rear coilover HC long-arm Pro Plus system, built around King shocks with roughly 14 inches of wheel travel. Rockslide Engineering electric steps double as functional rock sliders. Underneath are 37/12.5R17 BFG KM3 tires on 17-inch Black Rhino Dugger wheels, with a Rugged Ridge HD tire carrier to support the weight of the larger spare. It was finished off with a Banks PedalMonster and a Banks Derringer tuner for added power. The bumpers were left stock to keep it a sleeper — but don't be surprised when this thing passes you up on the trail.

The Details

The Suspension

It got one of the baddest kits on the market — an Evo Manufacturing JLU Diesel King 2.5 Double Throwdown front and rear coilover HC long-arm Pro Plus system, built around King shocks with roughly 14 inches of wheel travel and adjustable ride height. It's engineered for going fast and crawling hard, all behind a stock-looking exterior.

The Wheels, Tires & Protection

Thirty-seven-inch BFG KM3s on 17-inch Black Rhino Dugger wheels put the power down in everything from slickrock to deep sand. Rockslide Engineering electric steps double as functional rock sliders, and a Rugged Ridge HD tire carrier handles the weight of the larger spare.

The Power & The "Sleeper"

A Banks PedalMonster and Banks Derringer tuner add power to the 3.0 diesel, and the bumpers were left stock on purpose to keep it a sleeper. Don't be surprised when this thing passes you up on the trail.
