2024 Toyota Tundra King Hunting Build
A 2024 Toyota Tundra built for a hunting guide — King 2.5 coilovers and rear shocks with adjusters, Total Chaos upper control arms, and a Westcott Designs rear air ride delete replacing the factory air suspension with Icon 1.25-inch dual-rate coil springs after offroad abuse took its toll. Icon Alloys Compression 17x8.5 wheels in Double Black with a +25 offset, wrapped in 35/12.5R17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers.

Built To Work & Play
Hunting guides are some of the hardest on their trucks, so they demand suspension that enhances offroad capability and creates a more comfortable ride on the trails. On this 2024 Tundra we used King 2.5 coilovers with adjusters up front and King 2.5 rear shocks with adjusters, paired with Total Chaos upper control arms. This truck came with the factory air ride suspension, and the customer was having issues with it from offroad abuse — so we deleted the air ride with the Westcott Designs rear air ride delete kit and put Icon 1.25-inch lift dual-rate coil springs in its place. The result is a truck that rides comfortably on the trail and holds up to the abuse a working guide rig sees. Rolling stock is a set of Icon Alloys Compression 17x8.5 wheels in Double Black wrapped in 35/12.5R17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers.

The Details
Built for the Hunt
Hunting guides are some of the hardest on their trucks — long days, rough terrain, and no room for something that doesn't hold up. The goal here was to enhance offroad capability and create a more comfortable ride on the trails, with suspension built to take the abuse a working rig sees.
King All Around
Up front, King 2.5 coilovers with adjusters handle the damping, with Total Chaos upper control arms keeping alignment in check. Out back, King 2.5 rear shocks with adjusters match. The adjusters mean the ride can be dialed in for the terrain and the load — exactly what a guide rig needs when the trail changes by the mile.
Air Ride, Deleted
This truck came from the factory with rear air ride suspension, and the customer was having issues with it from offroad abuse. The decision was made to delete it entirely using the Westcott Designs rear air ride delete kit, with Icon 1.25-inch lift dual-rate coil springs taking over — a simpler, more durable setup that won't leave him stranded when the trail gets rough.
Shoes
Rolling stock is a set of Icon Alloys Compression 17x8.5 wheels in Double Black wrapped in 35/12.5R17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers — the hybrid terrain tire that's quiet on the highway and capable when the pavement ends, exactly the kind of dual-duty a hunting truck demands.
